Millie tells him the story of a boy named Bertie who lived in Timbavati. He lived in a compound farm and he was also sent to the same boarding school. This is the story of how Bertie found a lion and had it sent away to a circus and how him and Millie became best friends until he joined the army in World War 1. how he saved two dying men in battle and how he was awarded the Victoria Cross. After the war Millie and Bertie could be together again. Then they found the White Lion that he was looking for all his life. Millie and Bertie got married and after quite a few years the lion went to heaven. Bertie wanted to remember him forever so they

The Grade 4 camp

Last week we were on camp. We went to Simonsberg Christian Centre. First we went on the bus to Giraffe house and we saw so many animals like snakes, a tarantula, three giraffes and a ostrich. I really liked feeding the goats and the llamas and one of the llamas wanted all the food so me and my friend had to quickly feed him because he ate so fast. When we were leaving we had ice-creams and a reptile show and it was so fun. I kissed a frog! We went back on the bus and finally got to Simonsberg. We unloaded our stuff and put it in our dormitory's. We loved playing in the forest and swimming in the pool. On the first night we went on a night hike and I fell down the mountain. We had lots of fun doing all of the activity's like the obstacle course,and the mine field, river rafting and Aladdin's ladder. We had lots of meals there and we got so messy on the last day in the mud pit. On the middle night (the night before we left) we had a bonfire with Marshmellow's a
